The Forbidden Network began in 2022 by brayk6 as a Minecraft: Bedrock Edition server named The Forbidden SMP. It was a simple survival multiplayer realm that grew to be a thriving community, expanding with each new season.

March 2025, when planning our fifth season, we have opted to close down the old server and move on to the next level. A few months later, in July, we rebranded as The Forbidden Network and began developing a brand-new experience for Minecraft: Java Edition.

The Forbidden Network is founded on a passion for creating fun gameplay with a welcoming community of Minecraft players of all kinds.
